A majority of visitors go to Cambodia in the months of November to March, if you want to travel during these months, it is best to book at least four months ahead to get good deals. If you prefer to avoid crowds and get better deals, visit Cambodia in May to October.

Cambodia: year-round
Cambodia is warm throughout the year with temperatures rarely dropping below 68°F (20°C), wherever part of the country. Seasons are divided into two, dry and wet season. Wet season begins in May and ends in October. This season is usually characterized by brief downpours in the afternoon. The rain rarely disrupts travel and most days come with several hours of sunshine, and is locally recognized as the green season where the countryside is lusher and livelier. The hot season is characterized by hot and humid days from November to March.

Siem Reap and the Temples of Angkor

Temperatures during the dry season in November to April hover around 68°F (20°C) at a minimum and reach highs of around 29°C, with a maximum of 95°F (35°C) in March. Rainfall is at a minimum which makes roads dusty, while the forested areas of the temples are easier to tour in. Dry season is a busy time where temples and sites are often crowded.
The months of April and May are quite hot and days with temperatures that go over 100°F (38°C) are common. The greener season of May to October is the most ideal time to visit the temples of Angkor, because of the full moats, lush rice-paddies, and majestic, blue skies. Temperatures are around 75°F (24°C) with lows of approximately 90°F (32°C) starting May. Rains douse hot days with refreshing afternoon showers.

Tonle Sap Lake
When is the best time to visit Tonle Sap Lake in Cambodia?
Tonle Sap Lake is recognized as Southeast Asia’s largest lake. The lake is filled during green season, tours are possible throughout the year, but water levels can affect which areas of the lake visitors can go to. The most ideal time to visit the lake is in July to December.

Battambang
Battambang has the same dry and wet weather as Siem Reap. If planning on visiting Battambang by road, avoid the months of September and October as heavy downpours can cause delays.

Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh is warm throughout the year with tropical rains in the months of May to October, and hotter days in November to April. During the months of May to October, temperatures hover around lows of 71°F (22°C) to peaks of 93°F (34°C) in May. In the months of November to April, lows drop to 77°F (25°C) and highs peak in the mid-30s. Rains peak in the months of September to October. The most ideal time to visit Phnom Penh is in the months of November to February, when temperatures and rains are at a minimum.

South Coast
If you plan on going to the beach at Sihanoukville or Kep, visit between the months of November to April to experience the most sunshine and temperatures of 75°F (24°C). If you love diving, the best time to visit is in the months of December to June where the water is at its clearest, with temperatures of 80°F (27°C).
